About
Practical answers for the moment you land
Sahara Signal exists to answer one question well: how do I get my phone online in Morocco? We publish focused, checkable guides instead of a general travel blog.
What we cover, and what we don't
Every guide on this site is about connectivity — SIM cards, eSIMs, mobile data, Wi-Fi, roaming and network coverage. We deliberately don't cover restaurants, hotels or itineraries; there are excellent sites for that already. Staying narrow is what lets us go deep on this one topic.
Sources & methodology
Guides are written from a combination of: publicly available operator information (coverage claims, SIM registration rules published by Morocco's telecom regulator, ANRT), on-the-ground reports from travellers and contributors, and direct testing where practical. Because prices, bundles and coverage maps change, we avoid quoting exact figures that go stale quickly and instead point you to where to check current numbers — the operator's kiosk, app or website — and focus on the parts of each guide that don't change month to month: which document to bring, how registration works, how to compare your options.
Freshness
Every guide displays a "Verified" date near the top. When network rules, pricing structures or coverage change meaningfully, we revisit and update the relevant guide and refresh that date.
Editorial independence
Sahara Signal is not affiliated with Maroc Telecom, Orange Morocco, inwi, or any eSIM provider. We don't accept payment in exchange for favourable coverage of any operator or provider.
